The Gabon National Housing Fund (FNH) is financed by a compulsory contribution payable by public and private sector employers who are members of the Caisse Gabonaise de Prévoyance Sociale scheme.
On 21 October 2024, the Official Journal of the Republic of Gabon published Ordinance No. 0015/PR/2024, dated 31 August 2024, regarding the reorganisation of the FNH. This ordinance aims to implement changes to the structure and operations of the FNH to meet the needs of social housing programs.
Article 5 of this ordinance outlines an increase in the FNH contribution from 2% to 3%, effective 1 November 2024. The contribution base remains the same and will continue to apply to all salaries and benefits that are used to calculate social security contributions (CNSS), within the limits set by the National Social Security Fund.
