Mauritius Portable Retirement Gratuity Fund (PRGF) Contribution Percentage

The Mauritius Portable Retirement Gratuity Fund (PRGF) contribution is based on the employee’s monthly remuneration, which includes total basic wage, productivity bonus, attendance bonus and payment for extra work performed.

From January 2022 to December 2024, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have been contributing to the PRGF at a reduced rate determined by their annual turnover. However, starting 1 January 2025, all employers will be required to contribute to the PRGF at a rate of 4.5% of each employee’s monthly remuneration.
